What We Collect
RiffTool stores data only in your browser using localStorage (cookies). This includes:
- Your saved loop sessions (YouTube URLs, start/end times, playback speeds)
- Loop names you create
- Your preferences
This data never leaves your device. We don't have access to it. We don't send it anywhere. It's stored locally in your browser only.
What We DON'T Collect
- Personal information (name, email, etc.)
- Browsing history
- Analytics or tracking data
- IP addresses
- Location data
- Any identifiable information whatsoever
Third-Party Services
RiffTool uses the YouTube IFrame API to embed and control YouTube videos. When you load a YouTube video, you are subject to YouTube's Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy.
We load fonts from Google Fonts. Google may collect basic usage data as outlined in their privacy policy.
Cookies & Local Storage
We use localStorage (browser cookies) to:
- Save your loop sessions so you can practice later
- Remember your settings
- Provide a better user experience
You can clear this data any time by clearing your browser's cookies/cache. This will delete all your saved loops.
Data Security
Since all data is stored locally in your browser and we never collect or transmit it, your data is as secure as your device and browser. We have no servers storing your information.
Children's Privacy
RiffTool does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. Since we don't collect any data at all, there's nothing to worry about.
Your Rights
You have complete control over your data:
- Delete your data: Clear your browser cookies/localStorage
- Export your data: Open browser DevTools → Application → Local Storage → copy the data
- Stop using the service: Simply navigate away from the site

If we update this privacy policy, we'll update the "Last Updated" date at the top. We'll only collect data in the future if we add new features that require it, and we'll update this policy accordingly.
